My career in real estate began in 1997 when I became one
of the youngest actively licensed agents. Combined with my area
knowledge of real estate, I have become a local expert at putting
together smooth, trouble-free transactions.
Commitment:
My top priority is respecting my client's time and

that come up after close of escrow. I believe that whether my clients
are buying or selling a home, it is one of the largest decisions they

Life Experience:
Born and raised in
the Valley, I have watched the city I love grow to become what it is

Work Experience:
In 1998, I began working in residential real estate as a transaction coordinator for an established team. This position enabled me to learn the in's and out's of real estate transactions. With a strong desire to work directly with clients and become an integral component of successful real estate transactions, I made a significant career move to sell homes for an award-winning luxury homebuilder in Scottsdale. The three years I spent selling new homes provided me with a working knowledge of construction and quality finishes and further enhanced my ability to assist clients in buying and selling homes.
In 2003, I made the shift from selling new homes to working as a re-sale Realtor. This career choice has proved to be rewarding. I enjoy successfully counseling my clients, negotiating favorable contracts on their behalf and handling every detail of their real estate transactions. All of my efforts are directed towards the goal of providing a seamless transaction up to and beyond the close of escrow.
I became a member of the MacLean Team in January 2006. Heather and I share a similar work ethic and our partnership is one of great respect and trust.
Life Experience:
As an Arizona native I have an immense passion for and knowledge of the Valley. My familiarity with Phoenix and its surrounding areas has proven to be invaluable to my clients. Another facet of my personal life that has added value to my career as a Realtor is being the youngest of ten children. As the lowest man on the familial totem pole, I have spent years honing my negotiation and communication skills, which I enthusiastically apply in my business every day.

OVERVIEW:
Over the past several years, Clay has justifiably earned himself a reputation for his expertise as a specialist in assisting his clients through one of the largest transactions of their life. Having worked, lived and played in Phoenix for over 17 years, his knowledge of the area is intimate and the size of his personal contact base among its residents quite large.
BACKGROUND:
Originally from the Chicago area, Clay graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Interior Design. He relocated to Phoenix in 1990, seeing it as a place of unlimited opportunity for a person with his creative talents and entrepreneurial spirit. It wasn’t long before he had his own successful commercial interior design firm and was the owner of a patent on one of his own designs.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
After obtaining his real estate license, it didn’t take him long to realize that his eight years in the interior design business had provided him with a special ability to help his clients visualize the unique possibilities of properties that to other agents were just “fix-ups”. When his listing clients responded to his suggestions for “staging” their homes to increase visual sales appeal, and got results, he realized his creativity and sense of design gave him a real competitive edge in the market. Combining these talents with an informative style, a passion for listening and a personable approach, he has effectively guided first time home buyers and seasoned sellers alike through the buying and selling process in such a way that most rate their experiences as positive and stress free.
It is not hard to understand then why, in past 5 years, Clay has been recognized multiple times by his broker as “Agent of the Month”, been named among the top ten RE/MAX agents in Arizona and a member of the Platinum Club. However, what really has catapulted Clay to the top of his game is his ability to communicate to his clients his clear vision of the future for Phoenix, where more and more owners are updating and restoring homes to meet the demand for living spaces that fit new lifestyles and family structures.

Experience:
My very first experience in real estate was in 2000, where I stepped into the ever changing and tumultuous world of ASU multi-family and student housing. Dealing with 300+ units as well as numerous ASU clubs and charters, at that moment, I realized that I enjoyed problem solving and providing clients with a housing experience that they would be happy with. By making sure that each student, faculty member, or just the normal working person was thoroughly satisfied with their experience; I am happy to say that I ensured those clients chose to stay with the company I had represented renewal after renewal. In the years following my experience with multi-family housing, I grew professionally to include commercial and residential property management, which is what I choose to be involved in and to promote here at The MacLean Team. I have the utmost respect for my clients, their time and money, and I strive to maintain a lasting partnership through experience and excellence in my field.
Life Experience:
As an Arizona native, I have been a part of the booming growth first seen over 15 years ago in Ahwatukee, which has stretched out across the valley in all directions. Having been a part of that growth, my friends and family are amazed that I can remember where certain stores, gas stations and restaurants are and can give perfect directions every time when asked. Being a walking map has its privileges, out of town visitors that I run across are delighted when I can recommend where to go for entertainment or the best new place to try for dinner and drinks. This is particularly useful in building a foundation on which my clients and prospective clients can grow to love Arizona as much as I do.
